Manitoba 2013

ASNA 2013  - Winnipeg Manitoba

"What we Actuarially do"

January 4 to 6, 2013

Winnipeg Convention Centre and Delta Hotel

The annual convention is the biggest gathering of actuarial students in Canada. The main goal is to inform future Canadian actuaries about the rudiments of the actuarial field and to allow them to build a network of contacts with other actuarial students in the country.

Each year, approximately 300 Canadian students assemble for a weekend in order to assist to this convention. Last year, over 350 people attended.

A new component to this year is the case competition. Some of the best students from each university will compete in this competition, presenting a solution to an actuarial problem to a panel of judges. Students will apply techniques and experiences gained through academic studies and work placements. The problem promises to challenge students, showcasing upcoming actuarial talent.

I attended ASNA during my last year in University. Excellent networking opportunity! Highly recommended!

The ASNA Convention in Quebec City in 2010 was a great opportunity for us at Sun Life to meet the actuaries of the tomorrow. We were able to share the Sun Life story with a diverse range of strong candidates during thecareer fair and are looking forward to returning to ASNA in 2011.
