ASNA Executives

Meet the 2013-2014 Executives

Lambert Leduc, President

My name is Lambert Leduc, I am a third year Actuarial Mathematics student at Concordia University and I've been part of every ASNA convention since London 2011. If I would have to describe myself in one word, I would say that I am an outgoing person. I really enjoy facing new challenges as well as travelling to experience different cultures. Talking of challenges, I am very excited about the next Convention in Toronto!

Brittany Lee, Convention Co-Chair

Hi everyone, my name is Brittany and I am the Convention Co-Chair with Monojit for the upcoming ASNA Convention in January 2014. I’ve attended the past two conventions in Winnipeg and Niagara Falls, and they’ve always been a fun networking opportunity.

This year we are planning to expand ASNA’s scope with new events, and a variety of seminar topics. This is not a convention you want to miss! I hope to see you all in Toronto this coming January.

Monojit Samanta, Convention Co-Chair

Hey! My name is Monojit and I am part of the UW Convention Committee. I am helping oversee the operations of the Convention Committee and providing any necessary guidance along the way. My main area of focus is expanding ASNA's corporate relationships to establish successful and sustainable win-win partnerships with our industry partners. I feel privileged to be working with such diverse and talented individuals and hope to deliver an enriching and exquisite event.

Jean-Sébastien Côté, VP Finance

Hello everyone, I am glad to be part of ASNA for a second time as VP Finance. I just finished my Actuarial degree at Concordia University in Montréal and I started working for an actuarial consulting recently. My objective this year is to make the finances as efficient as possible to give maximum benefit to the participating students of this wonderful event. I look forward to see you all at the convention.

Isabel Ji, VP Ontario

Hello everyone! My name is Isabel and I’m your current VP Ontario. This year is my second as an ASNA delegate, and I’m thrilled to also be a member of the 2014 Convention Committee. I am a student at the University of Waterloo, where my other involvements include the UW Actuarial Science Club, the Mathematics Society Council, and Math Orientation. Between extracurricular activities and apparently endless actuarial exams, I try to make time for reading, doodling, and alternately cheering/cursing the Leafs.

This year, I will be working to boost ASNA’s visibility by establishing a strong social media presence to keep students and employers interest engaged year-round. I’m also hoping to work closely with delegates from each school to find more platforms that ASNA could provide to encourage actuarial students’ networking and interaction. If you have any ideas or questions, please let me know -- I’d love to discuss them with you.

I look forward to meeting you at the Toronto convention in January!

Caroline Santos, VP Quebec

Hi,my name is Caroline Santos, and I am in my final year in the Actuarial Mathematics and Finance program at Concordia University. I am glad to be part of the 2013-2014 ASNA team this year. As VP Quebec, I am really motivated in promoting the association within the actuarial programs offered across the province. Furthermore, I will do my best to ensure that every student will get the most from the ASNA experience in Toronto.

Thank you!
